SAFETY PRECAUTIONS, INSTRUCTIONS, TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE AGREEMENT
All chemicals, including but not limited to pesticides, herbicides, rodenticides, and insecticides used in pest control, are registered and administered in accordance with the Farm and Feeds Agricultural Remedies and Stock Remedies Act of 1947 (Act 36 of 1947).
These remedies contain chemicals that are toxic and can cause harm if accidental exposure occurs. Necessary precautions and care must be taken at all times when handling these chemicals. In the event of accidental exposure, please contact your Pest Control Operator (PCO) or the nearest medical professional immediately.
Pre-Treatment Instructions
• All persons, especially pregnant women, elderly citizens, infants, toddlers, young children, and those with respiratory conditions, must vacate the treatment area for a minimum of 6 to 8 hours.
• Pets must be removed from the areas to be treated.
• All items including food, cutlery, crockery, toys, clothing, and utensils must be removed from cupboards, drawers, and surfaces to prevent contamination. Removal of these items ensures a more effective treatment. Items should be rinsed prior to use after the service.
• Windows and doors should be opened for effective ventilation, except in cases where fumigation is carried out. In such cases, areas should be ventilated before re-entry, as advised by the PCO.
During Treatment
• Ensure easy access to all areas for efficient and effective service delivery.
• Treated areas must be vacated for a minimum of 6 to 8 hours.
• Areas treated with sprays, gels, or baits must remain undisturbed to ensure maximum effectiveness. Do not clean or wash treated areas, as this will render the service ineffective.
• Gels and bait stations will be placed in concealed and inaccessible locations where possible. Do not tamper with, move, or clean these remedies.
Post-Treatment Instructions
• Food processing and working surfaces must be wiped or washed before use.
• Items including food, cutlery, crockery, toys, clothing, and utensils should be rinsed and cleaned before use.
• Following all recommendations and safety precautions ensures the maximum effectiveness of the treatment. Failure to adhere may reduce efficacy.
